"You are not alone"
AROLA - "You are not alone” Project
Dedicated to Mrs. Rodica Bush
The project “You Are Not Alone” is an initiative born from a sincere desire to bring hope, support, and comfort to those going through difficult times—those who are alone, ill, or lacking help.
Through this project, we aim to be an outstretched hand and an open heart for every soul in need. Visits, words of encouragement, practical help, and prayer are just some of the ways through which we wish to show that no one is forgotten.
We dedicate this project to Mrs. Rodica Bush as a sign of appreciation and gratitude for her kindness, dedication, and love for others. Through her example, we are inspired to give more, to be closer to one another, and to bring light where there is darkness.
“You Are Not Alone” is not just a project, but a promise—that we will stand by each other with faith, compassion, and Christian love.

”Mother of the Year” Project
AROLA – „Mother of the Year” Project
Dedicated to Mrs. Crenguța Chirnoagă
The project “Mother of the Year,” initiated by AROLA, is a tribute to mothers who, through love, sacrifice, and devotion, dedicate their lives to their families and the upbringing of their children.
In this spirit of appreciation and gratitude, we celebrate Mrs. Crenguța Chirnoagă, an exceptional mother who, through patience, faith, and unconditional love, serves as a role model for the community.
Through her daily actions, her strength to move forward in any situation, and her constant care for her loved ones, Mrs. Crenguța Chirnoagă reflects the true meaning of motherhood.
This project is not only a recognition, but also a sincere expression of thanks for everything a mother represents: support, comfort, courage, and boundless love.
“Mother of the Year” is more than a title—it is a blessing and an expression of appreciation for all mothers who make the world a better place.

The “Saint Catherine Scholarship” project for parishes of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas is open from September 25 to October 31. The beneficiaries will be announced by November 25, when we celebrate the Holy Great Martyr Catherine.
This project consists of awarding a $300 scholarship, one for each Archdiocese in the USA/Canada, to young female students who are between 16-25 years old, are enrolled in college/university (undergraduate studies), have been members of a parish in the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of the Americas for at least one year, and attend ROYA Sunday School. This scholarship is a merit scholarship, the student's financial situation not being a criterion for granting it.

”Mother of the Year” Project
It takes place between January and March
St. John Chrysostom said: “Give me a generation of good Christian mothers and I will change the face of the world!” Throughout the history of Christianity, there have been many mothers who have raised their children with love, devotion, wisdom, and hope in God, putting Christian education first. Initiated in 2017, the “Mother of the Year” project wishes to acknowledge ladies who are examples of exceptional Christian mothers, by awarding them the “Mother of the Year” title accompanied by a 1-year subscription to the magazine “Familia Ortodoxã” or an orthodox book. Candidates from the parishes of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas can be nominated between January and March, and the announcement of the beneficiaries takes place on March 25, when the Orthodox Church celebrates the Christian mother.
